Compatible Magenta Cartridge for Lexmark

This magenta toner cartridge replaces Lexmark OEM C5242MH and fits Lexmark C520, C522, C524, C530, C532 and C534 models. It also works with IBM 1614 and 1634 printers as well as Toshiba e-Studio 205CP and 220CP units. The single pack is suited for offices that need consistent colour output on supported devices.

Standard Yield Output at Five Percent Coverage

Rated at 5000 pages using the industry standard five percent coverage metric, the cartridge delivers predictable page counts for budgeting supplies. No power draw, fan noise or thermal data applies to a toner consumable, so normal use is limited to print volume and storage conditions.

SMTC and ISO Tested Quality Assurance

Each unit undergoes quality assurance tests defined by SMTC and ISO standards before shipping. The manufacturer backs the cartridge with a one year defect guarantee, giving buyers a defined recourse if a unit fails prematurely. No bundled software or additional accessories are included in the package.

Questions about this item

How do I install this cartridge in a Lexmark C524, and what step is often missed?

Open the front cover, remove the old magenta cartridge, shake the new C5242MH gently side-to-side to distribute toner, pull the sealing tape straight out, then slide it in until it clicks.

What maintenance or replacement will this cartridge need later?

The C5242MH is a single-use toner cartridge; once the 5000-page yield at 5 % coverage is reached, replace the whole unit — no separate drum or waste-bin service is required.

What limit appears first during long, continuous print runs?

The 5000-page rated yield at 5 % coverage is the first limit; after that the cartridge must be replaced even if print quality still looks acceptable.
