Four-colour pack for Okidata C9650 series

This four-pack contains one black and three colour cartridges that replace OEM numbers 42918984, 42918983, 42918982 and 42918981. It is built for offices running Okidata C9650, C9650DN or C9650HDN printers that need a full set of replacements in one order. Buyers who only need a single colour or who use a different printer family will not be served by this pack.

Installation and common issues

Each cartridge slides into the matching slot without tools and the printer recognises the chip immediately. The most frequent problem is forgetting to remove the protective seal, which causes blank pages or streaks; a second issue is mixing up the colour positions, so match the label on the cartridge to the slot colour.

Yield limits at five-percent coverage

The black cartridge is rated for 18000 pages and each colour cartridge for 16000 pages, both measured at the industry-standard five-percent page coverage. Heavy graphics, solid fills or frequent duplex printing will reduce the actual page count well below those figures, and the printer will stop when any single colour runs out.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the cartridges are recognised and printing correctly after installation?

Print a test page from the printer menu and verify the supply-status screen shows each cartridge as full and reporting page counts toward the rated 18000 black or 16000 colour yields.

What comes in the box and is anything else needed to start printing?

The pack contains four new toner cartridges — black, cyan, magenta and yellow — that replace OEM numbers 42918984, 42918983, 42918982 and 42918981; no extra parts are required.

Which pack should I choose for an Okidata C9650DN versus a C5800LDN?

This single four-colour pack fits both the C9650DN and the C5800LDN, as well as the C5500, C5650, C5650N, C5650DN, C5800 and C5900 MFP models listed.
