Grey ink twin-pack for PIXMA TS8820

Cartridge design and everyday handling

Each unit is built with quality components that produce clear text and smooth graphics from the first page to the last. The shape matches the OEM profile so installation follows the printer's normal routine without extra steps.

Yield limit and coverage basis

The rated yield is 517 pages per cartridge measured at five percent coverage on Letter or A4 paper. Heavy graphics or full-page photos will reduce the actual page count well below that figure.

Questions about this item

Does the CLI-231GY cartridge use a chip or contact interface that limits page counting on the TS8820?

The cartridge is engineered for smooth operation with the Canon PIXMA TS8820 and replaces OEM CLI-231GY, so the printer recognises it normally and counts pages up to the rated 517 per cartridge.

What are the physical dimensions or slot requirements for fitting two CLI-231GY cartridges into a PIXMA TS8820?

Each cartridge matches the standard CLI-231 form factor, so the pair installs directly into the grey ink slot of the TS8820 without adapters or extra clearance.

What is the correct installation sequence for the CLI-231GY cartridges, and which step do users most often skip?

Remove the orange protective cap, peel the sealing tape, insert the cartridge until it clicks, then run the printer’s alignment routine — skipping the alignment causes faded or misregistered grey output.
