Compatible Cyan Drum Unit

This True Color Toner drum unit replaces the Brother DR-223CL cyan drum in a single pack. It fits Brother HL-L3210CW, HL-L3230CDW, HL-L3270CDW, HL-L3290CDW, MFC-L3710CW, MFC-L3750CDW and MFC-L3770CDW printers. Home and office users who own one of these models can use it as a direct replacement.

Rated Yield at Five Percent Coverage

The drum unit delivers an approximate yield of 18000 pages measured at five percent page coverage. Standard-yield rating means it is designed for typical document volumes rather than high-capacity runs. Buyers who need a higher page count per drum should check whether a high-yield alternative exists for their printer.

Front-Cover Installation Steps

Turn the printer on and open the front cover to access the drum and toner assembly. Remove the used drum unit, unpack the new unit and slide it into the same slot until it locks. Close the front cover and the printer will recognise the replacement. Improper seating or leaving protective seals in place can cause print defects.

Questions about this item

How many prints will the 18000 page cyan drum actually deliver in daily use?

The 18000 page rating is measured at 5 % coverage. Pages with heavy graphics or solid colour areas will reduce the usable life, while lighter text pages can extend it.

Does the DR-223CL drum use a proprietary Brother interface or a generic standard?

It is a direct mechanical and electrical match for the Brother DR-223CL drum unit, so it fits the HL-L3210CW, HL-L3230CDW, HL-L3270CDW, HL-L3290CDW, MFC-L3710CW, MFC-L3750CDW and MFC-L3770CDW without adapters.

What physical space or mounting points does the single cyan drum unit need inside the printer?

The unit slides into the standard drum bay of the compatible Brother printers; no extra brackets, screws or clearance beyond the factory slot are required.
