Upgrading from OEM Canon GPR-23

This aftermarket cartridge replaces the original Canon 0454B003AA toner at a lower cost per page while maintaining comparable output quality. The jump is worth it for offices that print high volumes of colour documents and want to reduce supply expenses without changing printer hardware. It is not suited for users who require OEM-only supplies due to lease terms or strict procurement policies.

Fits Canon imageRUNNER C2550 C2880 C3080 C3380

The cartridge slots directly into the magenta toner bay of compatible imageRUNNER devices with no firmware updates or adapter kits required. It frees budget for other consumables such as drums or waste-toner containers. Buyers who need cyan, yellow or black cartridges for the same printer must purchase those colours separately.

Questions about this item

Will the GPR23 magenta cartridge fit my Canon imageRUNNER C2880i without modification?

Yes, the cartridge is a direct replacement for OEM 0454B003AA and fits the C2880i and other listed imageRUNNER models without any adapter or bracket.

What is the correct way to install the cartridge so the printer recognises it immediately?

Shake the cartridge gently side-to-side to distribute toner, remove the protective seal, then slide it straight into the magenta slot until it clicks; skipping the shake step can cause light streaks on the first prints.

When should I expect to replace this magenta toner based on the rated yield?

The cartridge is rated for 14000 pages at 5% coverage; replace it when the printer reports low toner or print density drops noticeably.
