Questions about this item

How do I install the PGI-230Bk and CLI-231 cartridges in my Canon PIXMA TS8820, and what step is often missed?

Open the front cover, wait for the carriage to centre, remove the orange protective tape from each cartridge without touching the chip or nozzles, then click each colour into its matching slot until it locks.

When will the six-pack need replacement, and which colour runs out first?

The Pigment Black (PGI-230Bk) yields 600 pages, Gray 517 pages, each colour 824 pages, and the main Black 1,217 pages at 5% coverage; the Gray cartridge typically empties first.

What print-quality limit appears first during long, continuous print runs?

After the rated yields — 517 pages for Gray, 600 for Pigment Black, 824 per colour, 1,217 for Black — the corresponding cartridge hits end-of-life and print density drops until it is replaced.
