What this combo is for

The Trueque wireless keyboard and mouse set uses a single 2.4 GHz USB receiver to connect both devices up to 10 metres (33 ft) away. It includes a full-size membrane keyboard with RGB rainbow backlighting at three brightness levels and a right-handed optical mouse with 15 switchable lighting effects. A USB-A to Type-C adapter is supplied for broader device compatibility. The combo works with Windows, Linux, Chrome OS and Mac, though multimedia keys may not function fully on Mac OS.

Sustained-use behaviour

Rechargeable batteries in both units are topped up via the included USB-C cable. After 30 minutes of inactivity the keyboard enters sleep mode; the mouse sleeps after 90 seconds. On/off switches provide manual power control. The membrane keys use a crater mechanism for quiet, low-effort typing, while foldable stands add a tilt angle for improved ergonomics during long sessions.

Deciding specification

The keyboard uses membrane switches rather than mechanical ones, so the feel is soft and nearly silent instead of tactile and clicky. Buyers who want mechanical key feedback or per-key programmable lighting should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How much power does the rechargeable battery use when the keyboard and mouse sit idle all day?

The keyboard enters sleep after 30 minutes and the mouse after 90 seconds; both have on/off switches to cut power completely when not in use.

What ports or adapters must my computer already have for the 2.4 GHz receiver to work?

A standard USB-A port is required; a USB-A to Type-C adapter is included if your device only has USB-C.

Will the Mac/Windows layout switch and multimedia keys work properly on an older macOS machine?

The keyboard toggles between Mac and Windows layouts with one key, but the supplier notes that multimedia keys may not be fully compatible with Mac OS systems.
