Sliding Webcam Cover

The Trust AWH011US Spy Guard is a slim adhesive cover that blocks the front-facing camera on laptops and monitors. It suits anyone who wants a physical barrier against unwanted video capture without relying on software settings. The cover slides open when the camera is needed and closes for instant privacy.

Adhesive Mount and Slider

The package includes a single black cover that attaches with a pre-applied adhesive layer. No tools, drivers or power are required. The sliding mechanism lets the user uncover the lens in one motion and lock it shut again, keeping the lens free from dust and scratches when not in use.

Fixed Focus Lens Limit

The cover is designed for cameras with a fixed focus lens and a maximum resolution of FHD. It adds only 1.56 in x 0.56 in x 0.05 in of thickness, so most devices still close fully. Users with unusually thick bezels or recessed camera modules may find the slider does not align perfectly with the lens.

Questions about this item

Will the adhesive on the 1.56 in x 0.56 in cover need replacing over time?

The adhesive-backed design is built for a secure, long-term fit on most laptops and is not intended to be removed or replaced once applied.

Does the 0.05 in thickness prevent the laptop lid from closing fully?

The slim 0.05 in profile fits most laptops seamlessly, allowing the lid to close without leaving a gap.

Does the cover generate any heat or noise during all-day use?

The cover has no power source and no moving electronics, so it produces zero heat and zero noise regardless of how long it stays in place.
