Everyday prime for APS-C shooters

The TTARtisan AF 35mm f/1.8 Mark II mounts on Nikon Z APS-C bodies and delivers a 53mm full-frame equivalent view. Its wide f/1.8 aperture gathers plenty of light for indoor and evening scenes. Weighing 176g, the all-metal barrel stays unobtrusive during long walk-around sessions.

Step up from a kit zoom

The constant f/1.8 aperture replaces the variable maximum of typical kit lenses, letting you hold lower ISO values when light drops. The 9-blade diaphragm renders smoother background separation for portraits and detail shots. The simplified 7-group, 10-element formula with two ED and two high-refractive elements cuts bulk while keeping sharpness high.

Steady output on extended outings

The 5052 aviation aluminium barrel dissipates heat naturally during continuous shooting or video runs. No motor whine or focus hunting interrupts longer takes thanks to the refined autofocus drive. The compact optical path resists internal flare buildup when the sun stays in frame for minutes at a time.

Questions about this item

What camera mount does the 35mm f/1.8 Mark II lens use?

The lens uses a Nikon Z mount for direct attachment to compatible APS-C mirrorless cameras.

How do you switch between autofocus and manual focus on this lens?

Use the AF/MF switch on the lens barrel; the step users miss is forgetting to toggle the camera menu focus mode to match the physical switch position.

When should the front element of the 35mm f/1.8 Mark II be cleaned?

Clean the front glass only when visible dust or smudges affect image contrast, using a blower first then a microfibre cloth with lens fluid if needed.
