50 ft Water Hose for Garden Use

The Tuff Guard PGH-50-GN is a 50 ft water hose built for residential garden tasks. Its 5/8 in internal diameter suits standard outdoor taps and sprinklers. The coupled assembly arrives ready to connect without extra fittings. It handles fresh water, salt water and deionized water equally well.

Flexible TPE Cover and Brass Fittings

The thermoplastic elastomer cover stays flexible in cool weather and resists kinking during normal use. Brass 5/8 in MGHT and FGHT couplings provide full-flow connections that do not corrode. The lightweight construction reduces arm fatigue when dragging the hose across lawns. No special tools are required for installation.

Brass Couplings Resist Corrosion

Brass fittings on both ends withstand repeated attachment cycles without rounding off. The green TPE cover resists UV degradation and abrasion against rough surfaces. Coupled ends mean no separate clamps or barbs to lose. The hose coils neatly for compact storage on a reel or hook.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the 5/8 in brass MGHT and FGHT fittings without cross-threading?

Thread the MGHT end onto the spigot and the FGHT end onto the nozzle by hand until snug, then give each a quarter turn with pliers; the brass threads seal without tape if aligned straight.

What upkeep does the TPE cover and rubber tube need over time?

Drain fully after each use, store coiled in shade, and wipe grit from the brass couplings; the TPE cover resists cracking but inspect for abrasion before each season.

At what point does the 50 ft length start to restrict flow during long runs?

Friction loss becomes noticeable on high-volume sprinklers beyond the full 50 ft; keep the hose straight and avoid sharp bends to maintain full flow.
