Hanger Strap 20 Gauge 3/4"x10

The Tuff Stuff 42590 is a 20 gauge hanger strap measuring 3/4"x10". It is a hardware component designed for securing or supporting items in construction, fencing or general repair tasks. The strap is supplied new and ready for immediate use.

Suitable applications and limits

This strap suits installers who need a 20 gauge thickness and the exact 3/4"x10" dimensions for light to medium duty fastening. It is not for buyers who require a different width, length or gauge, nor for applications demanding a heavier load rating than 20 gauge provides.

Deciding specification

The single specification that decides fit is the 20 gauge thickness combined with the 3/4"x10" size. If your project calls for those exact measurements, this part matches; otherwise a different strap is required.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 20 gauge hanger strap and what step is often missed?

Wrap the 3/4" strap around the post, align holes, and drive fasteners through every hole; the step often missed is using all pre-punched holes for full load distribution.

What maintenance or replacement will the 42590 hanger strap need over time?

Inspect the 20 gauge steel annually for rust or bending; replace the strap if corrosion reduces thickness or if holes elongate under load.

What limit appears first on the 3/4"x10" strap during sustained loading?

The 20 gauge thickness yields before the 10" length stretches, so permanent deformation of the steel is the first limit under continuous weight.
