96% Layout Custom Keyboard

The TUKO Q5 Pro is a fully customizable 96% wireless mechanical keyboard built around a full aluminium body. It targets enthusiasts who want open-source QMK/VIA firmware control and a programmable knob for macros or media. The compact layout keeps navigation and number keys while saving desk space for mouse movement.

Hot-Swappable Aluminium Build

A flexible PC plate, screw-in stabilisers and double-gasket mounting sit inside the metal chassis to refine typing acoustics and feel. Every switch is hot-swappable, accepting almost all three-pin mechanical switches without soldering. KSA double-shot PBT keycaps are fitted from the factory and the board connects via USB wired or Bluetooth 5.1 wireless to three paired devices.

Sustained 1000 Hz Wired Polling

In wired mode the keyboard runs at a 1000 Hz polling rate for consistent low-latency input during long sessions. Wireless polling drops to 90 Hz, so competitive players who need maximum report rates should stay tethered. The aluminium frame dissipates heat naturally, but the board lacks per-key RGB and dedicated macro keys, limiting visual flair and single-press complex commands.

Questions about this item

How long does the battery last when the keyboard is used continuously with Bluetooth 5.1?

The wireless polling rate is 90 Hz, which is lower than the wired 1000 Hz rate, helping to conserve power during sustained daily use across up to three paired devices.

Does the aluminum case get warm or make noise after hours of typing?

The double-gasket mount and flexible PC plate absorb vibration for a quiet, consistent sound profile, while the solid aluminum body dissipates heat passively during long sessions.

What operating system must my computer run to use the programmable knob and key remapping?

The Keychron Launcher web app works in any modern browser on Mac, Windows or Linux, so no specific OS version or driver installation is required for full QMK/VIA customisation.
