The Turck BI5-S18-AP6X is a flush-mount inductive proximity sensor built for machine-level presence detection. Its M18 × 1 threaded barrel and PA12-GF30 housing suit harsh factory environments where metal targets must be sensed without contact. Voltage and switching limits

The sensor operates on a 10…30 VDC supply and provides a normally-open PNP output through a three-wire cable connection. Switching logic is fixed at NO contact, so the output pulls high only when a target enters the sensing field. The DC-only supply and cable termination define the electrical integration boundaries for any control cabinet.
