Sensor for non-flush mounting

The Turck NI15-S30-AD4X 44592 is an inductive proximity sensor with a threaded M30 x 1.5 barrel. It detects metal targets at a rated switching distance of 15 mm without physical contact. The housing uses PA12-GF30 plastic rated for DC 2-wire operation at 1065 VDC. A normally open output switches when a target enters the sensing field.

Upgrade from flush-mount or shorter-range units

This sensor replaces flush-mounted models when the application demands non-flush installation and a 15 mm sensing range. The jump is worth it when the mounting geometry prevents a flush seat or when the target material and speed require the longer operating distance. The 2-wire DC circuit simplifies wiring compared to 3-wire alternatives in the same form factor.

Fits M30 threaded ports with cable routing

The M30 x 1.5 thread installs directly into a matching port or nut without a separate bracket. The integral cable exits the barrel for connection to a PLC input or relay coil. The 138 g weight adds minimal load to the mounting surface. Non-flush mounting requires clear space around the sensing face to avoid metal interference.
