M18 inductive sensor with 8 mm switching distance, NPN output, 10–65 VDC supply and M12 connector
This inductive sensor is built for non-flush mounting on M18 threads and delivers a complementary NPN output through an M12 connector. It suits automation engineers who need a chrome-plated brass housing rated for 10 to 65 VDC supply voltage.
Builders who require a flush-mount format or a PNP switching signal should select a different model. The sensor also does not support AC supply voltages, so installations limited to AC control circuits cannot use it.
The rated switching distance is 8 mm at the specified DC supply range. This single figure determines whether the sensing reach matches the target position in your machine layout.

This sensor has an M18 × 1 threaded barrel with an 8 mm rated switching distance and non-flush mounting. Select it when you need that exact thread size and sensing range; other barrel diameters or switching distances would be different models.
The sensor will reliably detect a standard metal target when it comes within 8 mm of the sensing face. Because mounting is non-flush, keep the surrounding area clear of metal to maintain that distance.
The 4-wire DC sensor uses an M12 × 1 male connector for power and complementary NPN output. It operates only on 10–65 VDC supplies, so the connected controller or PLC must provide voltage within that window and accept NPN signals.
