Wired stereo headset with 40mm drivers

The Turtle Beach Recon 50P is a wired stereo headset built around 40mm speakers. It connects through a 3.5mm jack to PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Mac and mobile devices. The adjustable boom microphone is detachable for media use. In-line controls provide master volume and mic mute. The colour scheme is black and blue.

Limits of the 3.5mm analogue connection

Audio and microphone signals travel over a single 3.5mm plug, so the headset relies on the host device for all processing and power. No USB digital audio, surround virtualisation or separate microphone input is available. Volume and mute are handled by the inline analogue controls only. The cable is fixed and cannot be replaced if damaged.

Check your controller and device ports

Verify that your controller or device has a 3.5mm combo jack supporting both headphone output and microphone input. Some older Xbox One controllers lack this port and would need a separate adapter not included here. Ensure the single plug matches the combined headset/mic pinout used by your platform. The microphone is removable, so confirm you have a safe place to store it when detached.
