Platform Compatibility

The Turtle Beach Recon 50X is a wired over-ear gaming headset with 40mm drivers and a 3.5mm connector. It is officially licensed for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows PCs, and works with PS5, PS4 and mobile devices that have a 3.5mm jack. The headset weighs 0.34 pounds and includes a removable high-sensitivity microphone.

Connection Check

Before ordering, verify that your controller or device provides a standard 3.5mm audio port for both game audio and chat. The headset draws power directly from the host device through the cable, so no separate battery or USB connection is required. Ensure the in-line volume and mute controls are within comfortable reach during play.

Build Integration

The single 3.5mm plug carries stereo sound and microphone signals, freeing up USB ports on your console or PC. Ear cushions fold flat for compact storage when the headset is not in use. The adjustable boom mic can be removed entirely for solo gaming or media playback, leaving a lightweight stereo headphone.
