Lightweight Multiplatform Headset

The Turtle Beach Recon 70 is a wired over-ear headset built for gamers who want one headset across PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It weighs 0.51 pounds and uses a single 3.5mm connector for audio and chat. The lavender finish distinguishes it from standard colourways.

3.5mm Connection Limits

The 3.5mm jack carries stereo sound and microphone signal without any digital processing or surround decoding in the headset itself. Volume and mute are handled by the on-ear controls, so no software driver is required. Spatial audio depends entirely on the host platform’s own implementation.

40mm Drivers and Flip Mic

High-quality 40mm speakers deliver the game audio while the high-sensitivity flip-to-mute microphone handles voice chat. Synthetic leather cushions provide passive noise isolation. Buyers who need wireless freedom or a USB DAC will not find those features here.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the Recon 70 in Lavender or another colour?

The Recon 70 in Lavender uses the same 40 mm drivers, 32 ohm impedance and 3.5 mm connection as every other colour, so choose the shade you prefer.

How loud will the 40 mm drivers and 32 ohm impedance get on my controller?

The 32 ohm load is easy for a PS5, Xbox or PC jack to drive, so the 40 mm speakers reach comfortable gaming volume without extra amplification.

What does the 3.5 mm connector actually support on PS5, Xbox and PC?

The single 3.5 mm plug carries stereo audio and the flip-to-mute mic on any console or PC with a combined headset jack; no USB or wireless features are included.
