SKU CH-S17M-1HY3X

Converts 48 VDC PoE input to 24 VAC at 2.9 A, 70 W output for wireless devices

  • Converts 48VDC PoE to 24VAC power for non-PoE devices
  • Delivers 70W at 2.9A for demanding wireless equipment
  • Accepts 802.3at input up to 1000MB Ethernet speeds
  • Isolated design with surge, short-circuit and overvoltage protection
  • Output via wire terminal connector on 14” cable

48VDC 802.3at to 24VAC Splitter

This Power over Ethernet splitter converts a 48VDC IEEE 802.3at input into a regulated 24VAC output at 2.9 amps and 70 watts. It is designed for network installers who need to power AC devices from a PoE switch or injector. Input and output circuits are electrically isolated for safety.

Installers needing AC output from PoE

The unit suits projects where AC-powered cameras, access points or sensors must be deployed without local mains wiring. It is not intended for devices that require a DC barrel connection or for networks limited to 10/100MB speeds only.

70W 24VAC 2.9A terminal output

The single specification that decides fit is the 70-watt 24VAC 2.9-amp output delivered through a wire terminal connector. Verify the target device matches this voltage, current and connector type before purchase.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 70W 24VAC version with terminal connector or a lower-watt barrel-connector model?

The 70W unit delivers 24VAC at 2.9A through a wire terminal connector on a 14" lead, while lower-power models use a 5.5mm/2.1mm barrel plug on the same cable length.

What does the 70W rating mean when the splitter is installed?

It means the device can supply up to 24VAC at 2.9A continuously to the connected load while drawing 48VDC from an 802.3at PoE source.

Which Ethernet speeds does the 802.3at PoE input support?

The splitter passes 10/100 Mbps and 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet through the isolated PoE input.
