Converts 18-36VDC battery power to 56VDC 802.3af/at PoE with integrated Gigabit injector for 35W output
The Tycon TP-DCDC-2448GD-HP converts 18-36VDC battery input into regulated 56VDC Power over Ethernet output. It delivers up to 35W compliant with 802.3 af/at standards. An integrated Gigabit-compatible injector applies power to the spare pairs of a shielded CAT5 cable. The unit accepts data on one RJ45 jack and outputs both data and power on the other.
The converter maintains its full 35W rating continuously rather than only in short bursts. Built-in surge, short-circuit and overload protections defend the connected access point and the power source during prolonged operation. The regulated 56VDC output remains stable across the entire 18-36VDC input range. This makes it suitable for permanent installations where the load is constant.
The 802.3 af/at standard caps delivered power at the level this unit provides, so devices requiring more than 35W cannot be supported. Power is transmitted on Ethernet pins 4, 5, 7 and 8, limiting compatibility to equipment that accepts PoE on those conductors. The Gigabit data path passes through without bandwidth reduction, but the injector does not negotiate higher power classes.

It delivers 35W of regulated 56VDC PoE from an 18-36VDC source and includes overload protection, so heat and draw stay within that 35W envelope during continuous operation.
You need an 18-36VDC battery or power supply, a shielded CAT5 cable for the data-in port, and an 802.3af/at-compatible device to receive PoE on the output jack.
Yes, the converter outputs 56VDC compliant with both 802.3af and 802.3at standards, so legacy af devices and newer at devices can be powered from the same 35W supply.
