Portable boombox with CD player and AM/FM radio

The Tyler TAU101-BL combines a top-loading CD mechanism, an analogue AM/FM tuner and dual built-in speakers in a compact blue cabinet. It plays standard audio CDs, MP3-CDs and CD-R/RW discs, and a long adjustable antenna helps pull in distant stations for listeners who want broadcast radio without an internet connection.

Mains or battery power for extended sessions

Plug the unit into any 120V AC outlet for uninterrupted playback at home, or fit compatible C-size cells — regular or rechargeable — for true portability outdoors. The dual-power design means a picnic, campsite or garden party can run as long as the batteries last without hunting for a socket.

Aux input and headphone jack expand daily utility

A 3.5mm line-in lets you pipe audio from a phone, portable player or other source through the boombox speakers, while the matching 3.5mm headphone output gives a private listening option without disturbing others. The lightweight 9.2 x 5.6 x 9.1 inch frame carries easily from room to room or into a backpack.

Questions about this item

How loud does the TAU101-BL get and does it run hot when used all day on AC power?

The dual built-in speakers deliver crisp stereo sound at room-filling volume; the AC-only design has no battery compartment to warm up, so the chassis stays cool during extended wall-powered sessions.

What external audio sources can I connect to the 3.5 mm aux input on the TAU101-BL?

Any device with a standard 3.5 mm headphone output — phone, MP3 player, tablet or laptop — plugs directly into the aux jack for playback through the boombox speakers.

Will my existing CD-R and MP3-CD discs play correctly in the TAU101-BL?

Yes, the mechanism reads standard audio CDs, CD-R, CD-RW and MP3-CD formats so your current burned discs work without conversion.
