What the TYMO SWAY does

The TYMO SWAY is a one-inch flat iron that straightens and curls in a single tool. Thirty-two temperature steps from 140 to 450 cover fine, thick, curly and afro textures. A gravity sensor activates the iron with a simple sway, while an automatic shut-off triggers after five minutes of stillness. Dual-voltage operation at 110-240V makes it suitable for international travel.

Practical limits of the heater

The MCH heating element reaches working temperature in roughly ten seconds and recalibrates thirty times per second to hold the chosen setting. One-inch 3D floating titanium plates glide through hair to reduce snagging and allow single-pass styling. The fixed plate width and maximum temperature of 450 define the upper boundary for thick or coarse hair; users needing wider plates or higher heat will need a different tool.

Build, cord and daily handling

The chassis measures 11.02 by 1.18 by 1.18 inches and weighs 0.743 kilograms, small enough for a handbag or carry-on. A tangle-free swivel cord prevents twisting during use, and the anti-scald housing allows safe angle changes while styling.
