Product Identity

The Tyrap TY35M is a natural nylon cable tie with a mountable head, supplied in a pack of 1000 pieces. It is intended for installers and technicians who need to secure and mount wire bundles in indoor environments.

Installation Notes

Each tie features a #10 screw-mount hole so it can be fastened directly to a surface before the bundle is cinched. The stainless-steel barb locks at a nominal maximum bundle diameter of 1 3/4 in, and the nylon 6/6 material resists brittleness from -40 to 185 degrees F. Misalignment of the mount or exceeding the 50 lb tensile strength are the common causes of failure.

Critical Specification

The ties carry a UL 21S plenum rating, confirming suitability for use in air-handling spaces. This single listing determines whether the product meets the fire-safety requirements of a given installation.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the 50 lb tensile strength is holding after installation?

After mounting with a #10 screw, pull the bundle firmly; the stainless steel barb should lock without slippage and the strap must not stretch beyond the 0.05 in thickness under load.

What comes in the pack and do I need separate mounting hardware?

The pack contains 1000 natural Nylon 6/6 ties, each 7.83 in long and 0.19 in wide with a built-in mounting head; you must supply your own #10 screws for the screw-mount holes.

Which version suits a 1 3/4 in bundle diameter and plenum spaces?

This TY35M model is rated for a maximum 1 3/4 in bundle, is UL Type 21S and plenum rated, making it the correct choice for that diameter and air-handling areas.
