Compact stereo speakers for desk setups

The Uakinat E-1078 2.0 system delivers 6 W total output from two 3 W drivers in a 2.0 channel configuration. Frequency response spans 100 Hz to 20 KHz. White column cabinets measure 2.75 x 2.55 x 3.07 in and weigh .381 kg each. USB power and 3.5 mm audio connections keep cabling simple for PC, laptop, tablet or phone use.

USB power limits volume and bass

The speakers draw DC 5 V at 1 A from a USB port, capping maximum output to the rated 6 W. Low-frequency extension stops at 100 Hz, so deep sub-bass is not reproduced. The 3.5 mm analogue audio input means the host device controls the digital-to-analogue conversion quality. Cable length between satellites is 31.5 in and the combined USB-audio lead reaches 47.24 in.

Check port placement and power headroom

Verify your device offers a free USB-A port capable of supplying 5 V at 1 A alongside a 3.5 mm headphone jack within 47.24 in of the chosen speaker position. Systems that limit USB current below 1 A may reduce maximum volume or cause intermittent operation. Ensure the 31.5 in inter-speaker cable suits your desk width. Buyers needing deeper bass, wireless streaming or higher SPL should consider larger powered monitors.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 2.0 channel version or a different configuration?

This model is a fixed 2.0 stereo pair with two 3 W drivers; there is no alternate channel configuration offered for the E-1078.

What does the 6 W total power rating mean for everyday volume?

The 6 W combined output from the dual 3 W drivers delivers clear, room-filling sound for music, movies and gaming at desktop listening distances.

How does the USB and 3.5 mm connection affect audio quality?

USB supplies 5 V power while the 3.5 mm jack carries the analogue signal, so quality is limited by the source device’s DAC and the 100 Hz – 20 kHz frequency response.
