Ubiquiti Networks LiteAP AC LAP-GPS 450 Mbit/s access point

LiteAP AC LAP-GPS access point

The LiteAP AC LAP-GPS is a wireless access point built for long-distance bridging in the license-free 5 GHz band. It suits installers who need a cost-effective PtP or PtMP link with airMAX ac protocol support. The ultra-lightweight form factor simplifies tower or mast mounting.

Capacity and headroom

The radio delivers a maximum throughput of 450 Mbit/s and operates on 2.40 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. Selectable channel widths of 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 and 80 MHz are available for PtP links, while PtMP links support 10, 20, 30 and 40 MHz. Performance scales with channel width and clear line of sight.

IEEE 802.11ac practical limits

The unit implements the IEEE 802.11ac standard with proprietary airMAX extensions for scheduling and Ack timing. Throughput is shared across associated stations and varies with distance, interference and channel selection. WPA2 security is mandatory for encryption. airOS 8 provides the management interface and airMagic channel selection tool.
