The Ubiquiti Networks LOCOM2-US is a NanoStation locoM2 wireless access point built for point-to-multipoint and point-to-point links. It operates on the 2.412 GHz to 2.462 GHz band using IEEE 802.11n at up to 150 Mbit/s. The integrated 8 dBi dual linear antenna delivers a maximum outdoor range of 3.1 miles.

Passive PoE and airMAX protocol

The unit is powered through passive Power over Ethernet on pairs 4, 5+ and 7, 8 return, so no separate mains adapter is needed at the mounting point. Ubiquiti’s airMAX TDMA protocol schedules time slots for each client, removing hidden node collisions and improving latency, throughput and scalability compared with standard Wi-Fi.
