Delivers 24 V DC at 1.25 A over Gigabit Ethernet with 83% efficiency and built-in surge protection
The POE-24-30W is a passive Power over Ethernet adapter that delivers 24V DC at 30W for Ubiquiti BaseStation equipment and other compatible devices. It suits installers who need to run both power and data over a single cable to outdoor radios or access points.
The unit operates from 100-240V AC at 50/60 Hz with an input current of 0.6A at 120V or 0.4A at 240V and achieves 83+% efficiency. Inrush current stays below 60A peak at 120V and below 120A peak at 230V. No active cooling is fitted so the adapter runs silently.
A Gigabit LAN port passes data while injecting power onto the same Ethernet run, reducing cable count and easing placement of remote radios. The adapter includes earth grounding and surge protection to guard against ESD events when paired with shielded cable. It supplies 24V DC at 1.25A only, so devices that require a different voltage or higher wattage cannot be powered from this unit.

Connect the LAN port to your switch or router and the PoE port to the device using a shielded Ethernet cable; the step often missed is bonding the cable's shield to the adapter's grounding terminal for surge protection.
The adapter itself has no user-serviceable parts; plan to replace the Ethernet cable if its shield or conductors degrade, and verify the AC inlet remains free of dust to maintain the 83% efficiency rating.
The 30 W output ceiling at 24 V DC and 1.25 A is reached before thermal limits, so any connected device drawing more than 30 W will cause the adapter to shut down or voltage to sag.
