Ubiquiti UAP-AC-M-PRO mesh access point

This UniFi access point is built for outdoor and large indoor deployments that require broad wireless coverage. It uses a proprietary MIMO-optimised Super Antenna to deliver symmetrical long-range communication. The omnidirectional design provides 360° signal distribution. It suits network administrators extending Wi-Fi across campuses, yards or warehouses.

Suits installers needing 183 m range

The hardware targets scenarios where a single unit must reach distant clients in every direction. It is not intended for buyers who need sector-focused antennas or narrow-beam point-to-point links. It also does not fit installations that require ceiling-mount form factors for dense indoor roaming. Choose a different model if your layout demands directional gain or a low-profile indoor aesthetic.

Proprietary Super Antenna

The integrated antenna is the specification that determines whether this AP matches the site plan. Its MIMO-optimised pattern creates a 360° footprint rated for up to 183 metres of symmetrical range. If the coverage map calls for omnidirectional long-range performance, this unit fits; if the design requires sector panels or shorter-range density, another device is appropriate.

Questions about this item

How is the UAP-AC-M-PRO mounted and what step is often missed?

Mount the access point on a pole or wall using the included bracket, then aim the omni-directional Super Antenna toward the coverage area; the step often missed is securing the weatherproof cable glands so moisture cannot enter the Ethernet port.

What part will need replacement first on the UAP-AC-M-PRO?

The pole-mounting hardware and weatherproof seals degrade from UV and temperature cycles; plan to replace the bracket kit and cable glands after several outdoor seasons.

What range limit appears first under sustained load on the UAP-AC-M-PRO?

The 183-meter symmetrical long-range specification assumes clear line-of-sight; heavy client density or obstructions reduce usable distance well before the radio hardware reaches its output ceiling.
