Integrated Controller and Video Server

The UniFi Cloud Key Gen2 Plus combines a UniFi Network controller and a UniFi Protect video-surveillance server in one compact appliance. It is built for administrators who want local management of UniFi switching, routing and camera devices without relying on a separate server or cloud subscription. The included 1 TB 2.5" SATA drive stores recorded footage and can be swapped for a larger unit up to 5 TB. Bluetooth provisioning through the UniFi mobile apps lets you bring the device online in minutes.

Eight-Core Processor with 3 GB RAM

An eight-core processor backed by 3 GB of RAM runs both the network-management stack and the Protect video application simultaneously. The 32 GB eMMC flash holds the operating system and application databases, keeping the mechanical drive free for video writes. Gigabit Ethernet provides a 10/100/1000 Mb/s uplink to the network core, so sustained camera streams and client traffic share the same wired pipe without a separate management link.

PoE and USB-C Power with Battery Backup

The unit accepts 802.3 af PoE on the Ethernet port or QuickCharge 2.0 over USB Type-C, giving flexibility when a PoE switch is not available. A built-in battery initiates an automatic safe shutdown if mains power is lost, protecting the file system and video archives. The front-panel display shows real-time system status, drive health and camera counts at a glance, so you can verify operation without opening a browser.
