Questions about this item

Does the HPE 5500-24G-PoE include power cords and mounting brackets, or must they be purchased separately?

The switch ships as a new unit with standard accessories included. Power cords and rack-mount brackets are supplied in the box, so no separate purchase is required for basic installation.

Should I choose the 24-port or 48-port version of the 5500-EI series for my deployment?

This model provides 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports with PoE+ support. The 48-port version doubles the copper port count while keeping the same Layer 3 feature set and optional 10 GbE expansion capability.

What does the Layer 3 rating mean for daily operation of the JG241A in a live network?

The switch can route between VLANs and run dynamic routing protocols such as HCRP and SPP, enabling it to serve as a core or aggregation layer device without a separate router.
