Compact enterprise access point

The Ubiquiti UniFi nanoHD is a dual-band 802.11ac Wave 2 access point built for high-density environments. It uses 4x4 MU-MIMO with four spatial streams to serve more than 200 concurrent users while maintaining a small footprint suitable for discreet placement.

PoE power and throughput limits

The unit draws power from any 802.3 af compliant switch or 48 V adapter, so no separate power supply is required. Wireless throughput is bounded by the 802.11ac Wave 2 standard and the four-stream radio design, which sets the practical ceiling for aggregate client speed in dense deployments.

Check switch ports and mounting before ordering

Verify that your network switch provides 802.3 af PoE on the ports where the nanoHD will connect, or plan for a compatible 48 V injector. Confirm that the ceiling or wall location can accommodate the access point's weight of 1.5 pounds and that optional cosmetic covers are ordered separately if a flush finish is desired.

Questions about this item

Which model capacity should I pick?

The nanoHD is a single SKU with no capacity options to choose from.

What does the 200-plus concurrent user claim mean in my office?

It means the radio hardware can serve more than 200 clients at once when the network is properly planned and backhaul is sufficient.

What does 802.3 af PoE cap in practice?

It limits power draw to the standard 802.3 af budget so the AP runs from any compliant switch or 48 V adapter without extra injectors.
