Gold Steelbook Edition contents

The Gold Steelbook Edition of Far Cry 6 on PlayStation 4 includes the base game and a metal Steelbook case. It is built for players who want the complete launch package with collectible packaging. The edition suits fans of open-world action who prefer physical media on the last-generation Sony console.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

As a disc-based video game, the product generates no heat, draws no power and produces no audible noise of its own. Thermal load and fan behaviour depend entirely on the PlayStation 4 hardware running the software. The Steelbook case is a passive metal shell that adds no electrical demand.

Build quality and day-to-day handling

The Steelbook case uses a rigid metal construction that resists cracking better than standard plastic keep cases. Its hinge and clasp are designed for repeated opening without loosening. The disc inside follows the standard Blu-ray format, so it mounts in any PlayStation 4 drive without adapters or special alignment. Buyers who want a digital-only library or who lack a disc drive cannot use this edition.

Questions about this item

How do I install Far Cry 6 Gold Steelbook Edition on my PlayStation 4?

Insert the game disc into your PS4 console; the system will prompt you to install the required data to the internal hard drive before you can launch the game for the first time.

What maintenance will the Steelbook case need over time?

Keep the metal case away from moisture and extreme heat to prevent surface corrosion, and wipe it with a dry microfibre cloth if fingerprints or dust appear.

What limits gameplay session length on the base PlayStation 4 hardware?

The console’s thermal design may throttle performance during long sessions, so ensure the vents remain unobstructed and the system has adequate airflow.
