Adds a 10/100 Mbps wired network port over USB 2.0 for laptops, Macs, Chromebooks, Switch and Wii U with ASIX AX88772 chipset
This USB 2.0 to RJ45 adapter adds a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port to laptops, tablets and consoles that lack a built-in jack. It draws power from the USB bus and requires no external supply. The ASIX AX88772 chipset handles IPv4 and IPv6 traffic over 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX links.
The compact black housing fits beside other ports without blocking them. Two LEDs show link status and data activity at a glance. USB 2.0's 480 Mbps bus carries the 100 Mbps Ethernet stream with headroom to spare. Crossover detection and auto MDIX remove the need for special cables.
Driverless installation works on Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista, XP, Mac OS X 10.6 through 10.12, Linux kernel 2.6 and 3.x, and Chrome OS. Nintendo Switch, Wii and Wii U are explicitly supported for online play and updates. Windows RT and Android devices are not compatible.

The USB 2.0 bus runs at 480 Mbps, so the adapter delivers full 10/100 Mbps Ethernet throughput without bottleneck.
It plugs into any standard USB Type-A 2.0 port; the RJ45 jack accepts a regular Ethernet cable.
Plug it into a USB port — most systems load the ASIX AX88772 driver automatically; the common mistake is forgetting to enable Wake-on-LAN in the OS network settings if that feature is needed.
