What the cable does
This USB-C to USB-C cable carries up to 100 W of Power Delivery at 20 V 5 A, transfers data at 10 Gbps under the USB 3.1 Gen 2 standard, and outputs 4K video at 3840x2160 and 60 Hz when the host port supports DP Alt Mode. It is built with a nylon braid rated for 10000 bends and aluminium connector housings.
How the video and charging features change use
The 4K video output only works on devices whose USB-C port implements DisplayPort Alternate Mode, so it will not drive a display from every laptop or phone. When that mode is present, a single cable replaces a separate video lead and a charger, letting you run a monitor at 60 Hz while the host draws up to 100 W.
The spec that decides fit
The cable is 3 ft long, so it suits desktop or bench setups where the host and peripheral sit close together; it will not reach across a room or from a floor outlet to a raised monitor.

Questions about this item
Will the nylon braid or connectors wear out after repeated bending and plugging?
The braided jacket is rated for up to 10000 bend cycles and the overmoulded strain relief on each USB C connector is designed for frequent insertions, so normal daily use should not cause early wear.
What caps the 10 Gbps transfer rate during long copies — the cable or the host port?
The cable meets the USB 3.1 Gen 2 10 Gbps specification, so the practical ceiling will be the host controller or device port rather than the cable itself.
Does the cable get warm or draw extra power when running 100 W charging all day?
At the maximum 20 V 5 A delivery the copper conductors and triple shielding are built to handle the current without excessive heat rise, and the cable adds no active power draw of its own.
