Portable 360-degree speaker for outdoor listening

The Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 4 is a compact Bluetooth speaker built for 360-degree sound in a small, waterproof housing. It targets listeners who want balanced audio at the pool, beach or campsite without carrying a larger system. The IP67 rating means it survives immersion in one metre of water for thirty minutes and resists dust completely. A built-in loop lets you clip it to a pack or hang it from a shower caddy.

Fourteen-hour battery

The rechargeable cell delivers up to fourteen hours of playtime on a single charge and refills through a USB-C port using a cable you supply. Bluetooth range extends to forty metres, so the source device can stay indoors while the speaker plays outside. Outdoor Boost raises output for open spaces, while Podcast Mode tunes the EQ for clearer vocals. Drop testing from one point five metres adds confidence for rough handling.

Recycled construction

Plastic parts contain at least thirty-one percent post-consumer recycled content by weight. Pressing the pairing button once links two Wonderboom 4 units for louder mono playback; pressing again creates a true wireless stereo pair with left and right channels. The feature works only between two Wonderboom 4 speakers and is not compatible with the older PartyUP protocol. Google Fast Pair simplifies the initial connection on Android six point zero and newer.

Questions about this item

How do I pair the Wonderboom 4 with my Android phone and what step is often missed?

Enable Bluetooth, then tap the Google Fast Pair prompt that appears on Android 6.0 or later; the step people skip is confirming the pairing request on the phone screen.

What part will need replacement after extended use and what charge method does it use?

The built‑in rechargeable battery is the only part that wears out; it charges via USB‑C so only the cable may need replacing.

At what distance does the Bluetooth link become unstable during continuous playback?

The rated wireless range is 131 feet (40 meters); beyond that the connection can drop or stutter during sustained use.
