Classroom Function Lockset

The Ultra Hardware 44259 is a Grade 2 cylindrical lever lockset designed for classroom, office or vestibule doors. It operates with a classroom function that keeps the outside lever always locked or always unlocked by key. The satin chrome US26D finish suits commercial interiors. It fits wood or metal doors between 1-3/8" and 1-3/4" thick with a 2-3/4" backset.

SC1 Keyway And Rekeying

The lock uses an SC1 keyway and ships keyed different. The cylinder accepts Schlage, Arrow, Marks, AWI, Lori, Falcon, ASSA and most Medeco cylinders for simple rekeying. An ASA strike plate and reinforced removable studs are included to prevent rosette twisting. The lock is UL listed for three-hour fire doors and conforms to ANSI A156.2 Series 4000.

Standard 161 Preparation

Installation uses the standard 161 door preparation with a 2-1/8" bore and 2-3/4" backset. Separate spring mechanisms for each lever prevent arm sag and maintain a horizontal position with 50° lever travel. The non-handed design works on left or right doors. Concealed screw mounting and a one-step rosette speed up fitting for new construction or retrofit projects.
