Spill-containment filter pad
The Ultratech 6542 Filter Pad provides a 3.3 gallon spill capacity for industrial and workshop environments. Its polyethylene and PVC construction with Ultra-X-Tex material absorbs hydrocarbons while repelling water. The pad measures 5 feet by 4 feet with a 3 inch height and 216 inch inside diameter. It meets 40 CFR 264.175 standards for secondary containment.
Passive absorption performance
The pad operates without power, fans or moving parts so it produces no noise and draws no electricity. Foam sides help the pad float and maintain position on water surfaces during deployment. The PVC and polyethylene materials resist chemical degradation during normal use. Thermal performance is not a factor for this passive sorbent product.
Included Ultra-X-Tex material
The bundled Ultra-X-Tex filter media instantly captures oil, fuel and hydraulic fluid while allowing clean water to pass through. This changes a simple barrier into an active hydrocarbon removal system for stormwater compliance. No additional software, fittings or activation steps are required. The pad ships ready for immediate placement in containment berms or drainage areas.

Questions about this item
How do I install the Ultra-X-Tex filter pad with its foam sides and 216-inch inside diameter?
Unroll the pad, align the foam sides against the containment berm, and secure the PVC edges so the 3.3-gallon spill capacity is fully covered.
What maintenance or replacement will the polyethylene and PVC filter pad need after use?
Replace the pad once it reaches the 3.3-gallon spill capacity or when the Ultra-X-Tex material shows visible saturation or damage.
What limit appears first during sustained spill containment with the 3.3-gallon capacity pad?
The 3.3-gallon spill capacity is the first limit reached; the pad must be changed once that volume is absorbed.
