What this clock is and who it suits

A 12 inch luminous quartz wall clock with a black and green glossy plastic case. The analog display uses Roman numerals and a silent sweep movement powered by a single AA 1.5V battery. It fits modern or simple decor styles and suits anyone wanting a quiet, easy-to-read timepiece for a bedroom, living room or office.

What it replaces and when the upgrade makes sense

It replaces a ticking mechanical clock or a non-luminous quartz model that is hard to read after dark. The jump is worth it when you need a silent movement that will not disturb sleep and a dial that glows for several hours after the lights go out without any wiring or external power.

Practical limits of the luminous feature

The glow is produced by an energy-storing pigment that absorbs ambient light and then releases it gradually. Brightness fades as the stored energy depletes and the dial will be dark after about 3 to 6 hours, so it cannot stay lit all night like a powered lamp.
