Steel under-desk keyboard tray

The Uncaged Ergonomics Ciao Stilista KRKB-1 mounts beneath a desk to hold a keyboard and a 360-degree rotating mouse platform. The tray is built from 1 mm thick steel with a leather-finished surface and includes a pen slot. It suits office workers who want to reclaim desk space and improve typing posture without replacing their existing desk.

Quiet 14-inch galvanised rails

Industrial-grade slide tracks provide smooth, low-friction travel and operate without noise. The tray offers three preset height positions adjustable up to 1.4 inches to match desk thickness and user ergonomics. A triangular support structure keeps the assembly stable during use.

Requires screw mounting into wood

Installation takes roughly 15 minutes with a drill for pilot holes and the supplied hardware. The unit is not compatible with glass, marble or desks that have integrated drawers. Buyers who cannot drill into their desktop or who need a clamp-on solution should consider a different mounting style.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the 14-inch slide rails and what step causes most alignment issues?

Drill pilot holes in the desk underside, attach the four brackets with the supplied screws, then fasten the rails; the step most people miss is pre-drilling so the brackets sit flush and the tray tracks straight.

What part will need attention first after months of daily sliding?

The galvanized 14-inch ball-bearing rails stay smooth longest; the 360° rotating mouse platform pivot sees the most cycles and may develop slight play before the rails do.

At what point does the tray stop moving smoothly under sustained use?

The 1.4-inch height range and 28-inch by 11-inch steel platform remain rigid; binding only appears if debris builds up in the 14-inch ball-channel tracks, not from structural flex.
