Under-Desk Keyboard Tray

This 27.3 by 8.3 inch slide-out platform mounts beneath a desk to hold a keyboard, mouse and small accessories, freeing the main surface for other work. It suits home-office users who want an ergonomic typing position without a permanent installation. The tray extends a maximum of 5.7 inches from the desk edge and retracts completely when not needed. A built-in safety flap helps prevent items from falling off during movement.

Capacity and Headroom

The platform supports up to 11 lbs of equipment, enough for a full-size keyboard and mouse with room to spare. It clamps to desktops between .3 and 1.75 inches thick and requires at least 33 inches of clear desk length; the clamp-to-clamp span reaches 32.5 inches. Ball-bearing slides keep motion smooth under the rated load. Heavier multi-monitor arms or bulky mechanical keyboards with wrist rests may exceed the weight limit.

C-Clamp Mount Compatibility

Adjustable double C-clamps secure the tray without drilling, fitting regular flat-edged desks within the stated thickness range. The design does not work with beveled desk edges or frames that have cross-bracing under the front lip. Protective pads guard the desktop finish while the clamps hold firmly. Buyers with glass tops, thick aprons or integrated cable trays at the mounting edge should verify clearance before ordering.

Questions about this item

Will the 32.5-inch clamp span fit on my 33-inch desk alongside the monitor arm I already have?

The clamps need 32.5 inches of clear edge, leaving only half an inch of margin on a 33-inch top; measure the monitor-arm base first to confirm it will not intrude into that space.

How do I verify the tray glides smoothly on the built-in ball bearings after I mount it?

Pull the platform out to the 5.7-inch extension limit — it should travel without binding or wobble, and the safety flap will stop it at full extension.

Does the package include the double C-clamps, protective pads and mounting hardware, or must I buy any of those separately?

All clamps, pads, ball-bearing rails, limiters, cable-management clips and assembly hardware are supplied; nothing extra is required for installation.
