Underwater LED Fishing Light

The SAMDO underwater fixture is a 12 V LED lamp built to attract fish in fresh or salt water. It draws 0.9 A at 10.8 W while producing 1080 lumens across 180 SMD LEDs arranged on five sides for a 360 degree spread. Anglers targeting prawns, squid or species drawn to blue wavelengths will find the colour suited to night sessions from boat or shore.

Heavy Duty Power Cord Included

A 51 cm lead with battery clips lets the light run directly from a 12 V source without extra wiring. The short cord keeps the connection close to the battery, reducing voltage drop on long trips. IP68 sealing means the housing survives full immersion so the light can be dropped to working depth and retrieved repeatedly.

Rectangular Blue Housing 6.96 in Long

The blue anodised body measures 6.96 in by 1.29 in by 1.29 in and carries UL and CSA marks. Its narrow rectangular profile slides through rod holders or mounts on transom brackets without bulky brackets. Rated for 1 000 000 hours of continuous use, the fixture is designed for season after season of overnight deployment.

Questions about this item

How long do the 180 SMD LEDs last before replacement is needed?

The LEDs are rated for 1,000,000 hours of continuous use, so replacement is unlikely for years of regular night fishing.

What limits the light's output during an all-night session?

The 10.8-watt draw at 12 volts means a typical 12 V battery will set the practical run-time limit before the LEDs themselves degrade.

Does the fixture get hot or draw much power when running continuously?

It draws only 0.9 amp at 12 V (10.8 watts), so heat output is minimal and battery drain is very low during extended underwater use.
