Compact IPS screen for mobile work

The Unew CX156-JH01-P is a 15.6" FHD IPS portable monitor built for users who need a second display that travels with them. It weighs 740g and measures 11mm thin, making it practical for home office, travel business and outdoor gaming scenes.

Check video-out and power on your device

Your laptop, phone or console must provide a USB-C port that carries video or a Mini HDMI output to drive the screen. The monitor draws power over USB-C so the host needs to supply 5V or you must use a separate 5V adapter. No touchscreen or legacy D-Sub and DVI inputs are present.

Smart cover and cables enable instant setup

The bundled smart stand case protects the panel and folds into a viewing stand for duplicate, extend, second-screen or vertical modes. Included cables are Mini HDMI to HDMI, USB-A to Type-C and Type-C to Type-C, covering most host connections without extra purchases. Dual built-in speakers handle stereo audio for calls and media.

Questions about this item

Does the box include a smart cover and cables, or must I buy them separately?

The package includes the 15.6 inch monitor, a smart stand case, a Mini HDMI to HDMI cable, a USB-A to Type-C cable and a Type-C to Type-C cable.

Which connection should I use between the two Type-C ports and the Mini HDMI port?

Use a Type-C port for single-cable video and power from a laptop or phone that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode; use the Mini HDMI port with the supplied adapter for consoles or PCs that only output HDMI.

What does the 250 cd/m² brightness and 1000:1 contrast look like in everyday indoor use?

The IPS panel reaches 250 cd/m² brightness with a 1000:1 contrast ratio, giving clear text and video in normal office lighting but limited punch in very bright rooms or dark scenes.
