Everyday writing pen for left-handed users

The uni-ball Jetstream RT 62152 is a retractable ballpoint pen with a fine .7 mm tip and black hybrid ink. Wirecutter has named it their top pick every year since 2013. The pack contains 12 pens suited for students, office workers and anyone who wants smudge-free writing.

Sustained writing comfort and ink flow

The hybrid ink formula blends gel-like smoothness with ballpoint drying speed so lines stay consistent during long sessions. Quick-drying properties prevent smears when the hand drags across fresh text. Archival-quality ink bonds to paper to resist water damage and fading over time.

Lightweight design with metal accents

Each pen weighs .03 pounds and measures 2.8956 by 8.4074 by 15.0876 centimetres. An embossed grip and stainless steel trim add balance without bulk. The retractable mechanism protects the tip and pocket when not in use.

Questions about this item

How much does the 12-pack weigh when I carry it all day?

The pack weighs 0.15 kilograms, or 0.03 pounds, so it adds very little weight to a bag.

Does the retractable mechanism need a separate refill or tool to keep it working?

No extra parts are required; the pen is retractable and uses its own hybrid ink cartridge.

Will the 0.7 mm tip feel scratchy on the cheaper copy paper my office still uses?

The hybrid ink is designed for smooth, vivid writing on everyday paper and dries quickly to prevent smudging.
