Oil-based paint marker delivers permanent opaque white marks on virtually any surface with a fine bullet tip
The uni-ball 63713 is an oil-based paint marker built for manufacturing, construction, automotive and aviation environments. Its white permanent ink marks opaque, glossy lines on metal, oily or dark surfaces where standard pens fail. The fine bullet tip delivers accurate, clearly visible marks for part identification and equipment labelling. Valve-action flow control prevents the marker from drying out when left uncapped.
Once applied, the ink dries fast and withstands harsh conditions including grease, high temperatures and mechanical wear. This durability keeps markings legible on components exposed to the elements or heavy handling. The permanent formulation eliminates the need for frequent remarking in industrial workflows. No electrical power or ventilation requirements are involved.
The rugged metal body protects the ink supply on busy job sites while the hard-wearing bullet tip maintains a consistent line width over long use. Valve-action mechanics ensure reliable flow without shaking or priming. White colour family suits high-contrast marking on dark substrates. Not suited for users who need ultra-fine detail or erasable marks on paper.

Shake the marker with the cap on until the ball rattles, then press the bullet tip down repeatedly until white paint saturates it; do not pump the tip before shaking or the valve may clog.
The fine bullet tip wears down on abrasive surfaces; replace the marker when lines become faint or the tip no longer releases paint after priming.
Surface temperatures above the paint's heat-resistance limit prevent the oil-based ink from adhering, so the marker fails before the tip or ink supply runs out.
