External CB Scanner Speaker

The Uniden BC20 is an accessory speaker designed for CB radios and scanners. It delivers 20 W RMS output power in a compact enclosure measuring 6.4 inches wide by 3.9 inches deep and long. The unit is supplied new and connects to the radio's external speaker output for louder, clearer audio.

Suited for mobile and base setups

This speaker suits operators who need higher volume or better intelligibility than a built-in radio speaker provides. It is not intended for users who require a self-powered PA system, Bluetooth streaming or a weatherproof enclosure for permanent outdoor mounting.

20 W RMS output power

The 20 W RMS rating determines how loudly and cleanly the speaker can reproduce received signals. Buyers should verify that their radio's external speaker jack can drive this load and that the physical dimensions fit the available mounting space.

Questions about this item

What are the exact width and depth measurements so I can confirm the BC20 fits my desk space?

The unit is 6.4 inches wide and 3.9 inches deep, with a matching height of 3.9 inches.

How do I connect the BC20 to my CB or scanner, and what is the common mistake to avoid?

Connect the attached cable to the radio's external speaker jack; the common error is leaving the volume too high on the radio, which can overdrive the speaker.

What part of the BC20 is most likely to need replacement after extended use?

The 20 W RMS speaker driver is the primary wear component; the fixed cable and plug can also fatigue if repeatedly bent at sharp angles.
