Two-way radio for group coordination

The Uniden GMR3799-2CKHS is a 22-channel FRS/GMRS handheld radio designed for outdoor groups that need reliable voice contact over distance. It offers up to 37-mile range under optimal conditions and includes a charging cradle for convenient recharging. The Realtree AP camouflage casing suits hunting or backcountry use.

Simple setup with hands-free option

Pairing units is straightforward: select one of 22 channels and choose from 121 privacy codes to reduce interference. VOX voice-activation enables hands-free talk without a headset, though wind or background noise can trigger accidental transmissions. The keypad lock prevents inadvertent channel changes during active use.

37-mile range claim defines suitability

The advertised 37-mile maximum range occurs only in open, unobstructed terrain; real-world distance will be significantly less in woods, hills or buildings. Buyers who need guaranteed coverage across dense forest or urban blocks should verify performance before committing.
