Battery holder for ten AA cells

This black plastic case holds ten 1.5V AA batteries and includes two 15cm wire leads for quick connection. It suits hobbyists, students and technicians who need a portable 15V supply for breadboards, test rigs or low-power devices. The spring-clip contacts make cell insertion straightforward without tools.

Simple wiring with current limits

Solder or crimp the two leads directly to your circuit; no specialised connector is required. The supplier notes that the assembly must stay below 20W and 2A, so verify your load before powering up. Monitor cell temperature during use and avoid low-quality batteries that can overheat or leak.

Fixed 15 volt nominal output

Ten alkaline cells in series deliver approximately 15V, which cannot be adjusted without rewiring the holder. The 15cm leads restrict placement distance from the load, and the 7.4×5.8×2.6cm body may not fit tight enclosures. Projects needing higher current, variable voltage or longer cables will require a different power solution.

Questions about this item

How can I tell the holder is delivering power correctly after wiring it up?

Measure the output with a multimeter; it should read about 15 V from the ten series cells and the load must stay under 20 W and 2 A.

What comes in the package and what do I still need to buy?

The box contains one black plastic holder with two 15 cm wires; you must supply ten 1.5 V AA cells yourself.

Which capacity should I choose for this holder?

The case is built for exactly ten 1.5 V AA batteries, so buy a pack of ten cells that match your device’s runtime needs.
