Clear brackets for 18mm x 8mm strips

These clear plastic brackets are made to hold LED strip lights that measure 18 x 8mm or .7 x .31 inches. Each pack contains 50 pieces plus a small number of screws so the installer can start work straight away. They suit homeowners and tradespeople who want a neat, permanent fixing on uneven surfaces such as rough sawn timber or concrete.

Light weight and simple fixing

The whole pack weighs 129g so the brackets add almost no load to the mounting surface. Installation only requires driving the supplied screws through the clip into the substrate, a process that is quiet and draws no power. No adhesive backing is used, so there is no risk of the strip peeling away when the surface is dusty or damp.

Secure hold on rough surfaces

Because the clips screw down, they keep the strip firmly in place even when the mounting surface is irregular or subject to vibration. The grip does not rely on adhesive that can degrade over time, so the installation stays aligned through seasonal temperature changes and long-term use.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 18mm x 8mm clear brackets on rough timber or concrete, and what step is often missed?

Press each clip over the 18 x 8mm strip, then drive the supplied screws through the bracket holes into the surface; the step often missed is pre-drilling pilot holes in concrete so the screws bite securely.

What maintenance or replacement will the 50-piece bracket set need over time?

The clear plastic clips are a one-time fit; if a bracket cracks or the strip is repositioned, simply replace that individual clip from the remaining spares in the 50-piece pack.

At what point does the 129g total weight of the mounted brackets become the limiting factor on a vertical run?

The combined 129g load is negligible for most surfaces; the practical limit is the adhesive bond of the LED strip itself, not the bracket weight.
