This 23 mm by 9 mm universal joint connects a 2 mm shaft to a 3 mm shaft on hobby-grade cars, trucks and drones. Simple Press-Fit Installation With M3 Locking

Slide each shaft into the 0.08 inch to 0.12 inch bore range and tighten the supplied M3 screws against the flats or keyways. The compact 0.91 inch length fits tight chassis tunnels without binding. A common issue is over-tightening the screws, which can strip the soft steel threads or distort the bore. Apply only enough torque to prevent slip under steering loads.

Verify Shaft Diameters

Measure both the motor output shaft and the steering input shaft; they must fall within the 2 mm to 3 mm range for a secure grip. Confirm that your model uses M3 set-screw holes or can be drilled and tapped to accept them. Check that 23 mm overall length clears adjacent bulkheads, suspension arms or body posts before ordering.
