Battery Holder for Four AA Cells

This black plastic holder secures four 1.5 V AA batteries and includes a 15 cm wire lead for easy connection. Two holders are supplied in the pack, each weighing 24 g and measuring 5.7 x 3.2 x 3 cm. The spring clip design allows quick battery changes without tools. Batteries are not included.

Suits Low Power DIY Projects

The holder is rated for a maximum of 10 W and a working current below 2 A, making it appropriate for small electronics, toys or portable lighting. Builders who need higher current capacity or a built-in switch should look at alternative power solutions. Users must monitor battery temperature and avoid low quality cells to prevent overheating.

Wire Lead Simplifies Wiring

Each unit arrives with a 15 cm cable already attached, so no soldering is required to connect the holder to a circuit. The pre fitted lead saves assembly time and reduces the risk of cold joints in prototype builds. The pack contains two identical holders, giving a spare for a second device or a backup unit.

Questions about this item

What size AA batteries does the 4-cell holder accept?

The holder fits four standard 1.5 V AA cells; batteries are not included.

Can the 15 cm wire leads handle the 2 A current limit of my existing motor driver?

Yes, the supplier rates the case for a maximum working current of 2 A, so the leads are suitable for that load.

How can I confirm the holder is wired correctly after connecting it?

Measure the output voltage — it should read about 6 V with fresh cells — and verify the connected device powers on without the case overheating.
